The road to New York runs through Cincinnati

The North American hard court swing is set. Alycia Parks is confirmed for the Cincinnati Open, the WTA 1000 that runs August 13 to 23, followed by the Abierto GNP Seguros in Monterrey and then the US Open in New York from August 30.

These are the courts her game was built for. Cincinnati is where she lifted the 2023 WTA 1000 doubles title with Taylor Townsend. And the US Open is where, in her first Grand Slam main draw match in 2021, she served 129 mph and tied Venus Williams for the fastest serve by a woman in tournament history.

Hard courts reward what Parks does best: first strike tennis, free points on serve and early aggression off the return. After a European summer highlighted by a quarterfinal run in Athens, the swing home is the chance to turn form into ranking points on the sport's loudest stage.
