Parks powers into the Ostrava quarterfinals

Alycia Parks put together back to back wins at the Ostrava Open, beating Julia Grabher and Elina Avanesyan to reach the quarterfinals at the indoor hard court event where she made her original breakthrough in 2022.
The run ended in a three set quarterfinal against fellow American Katie Volynets, but the week added another strong indoor result to a résumé that already includes a WTA title in Lyon and two WTA 125 championships in Angers, all indoors.
Ostrava holds a particular place in Alycia's career. It was there in 2022 that she beat former world No. 1 Karolina Pliskova and then world No. 7 Maria Sakkari back to back, and where she lifted her first WTA doubles trophy alongside Caty McNally.
